At Organo kandawada we can just be in our own space and still be together

PRATHIMA INOLU AND NAVEEN PUTTAGUNTA
May 17, 2023
Naveen and Prathima, outdoor enthusiasts with a shared commitment to community and sustainability, trace their journey from India, to the US, and back. They discuss their upbringing, the decision to return to India, and their discovery of their dream community in Kandawada, encapsulating greenery, community, and tradition.

Family Life

As business partners with shared love for the outdoors, Naveen and Prathima recount their contrasting but complementary origins. Naveen moved around quite a bit, absorbing the robust community spirit that marked his childhood. He warmly recalls, "In all these places, we lived in small communities. You could just go out and play with kids,"reflecting his appreciation for the sense of unity that community living fosters.

“We picked the home in the forest area because I love trees and greenery. The best part is we have the option to pick homes close to farms or close to goshala depending on our preference.”

Meanwhile, Prathima spent her childhood in sprawling homes with expansive kitchen gardens, cared for by her grandmother. These gardens were more than just a source of food; they were a testament to a lifestyle dedicated to sustainability and a close relationship with the earth. Prathima shares,"My grandmother grew most of our food... She may not have known the words sustainability and reuse, but that was how she lived." This early exposure to sustainable living deeply ingrained a respect for the environment in her, a value she holds dear to this day.

Discovering Organo Kandawada

The couple's return to India marked a quest to find a home that resonated with their values of community living and sustainability. It was during this journey that they discovered Kandawada, a sustainable community of Organo eco-habitats. The moment of revelation was profound, with Naveen remembering, "We happened to visit a friend in the gated community we're currently living in… but we knew we were actually looking for something like Organo Naandi." This aligned with their desire for an environmentally-conscious community for their children.

Prathima echoed the sentiment, joyfully recalling their decision to invest in Organo Kandawada,"When they announced Kandawada, we met the team and sealed the deal." The green community was a perfect match for their shared values of nature, community, and sustainability.

“I am not someone who can live in isolation. I want the combination of a community, a farm and forest area. My grandmother had a large farm in which she used to cultivate everything we needed for food, she had cows, chicken etc. I enjoyed that experience and that’s what influenced me to feel so much alignment with Organo’s communities.”

Tracing the Childhood and Personal Journey

Naveen and Prathima's childhood experiences strongly influenced their personal journey and decision-making. Naveen's small-town upbringing fostered a deep love for community, which he wishes for his own children.Reflecting on his life in the US, Naveen acknowledges that the experience made him value the community feeling he remembered from his childhood in India.

For Prathima, her grandmother's lifestyle left a lasting impact, shaping her commitment to sustainable living. Even in the US, where convenience often trumps sustainability, Prathima missed the warm familiarity of Indian culture and the sense of community that came with it.

“We want to make it our primary home need enough space for all of us to co-exist without stepping on each other’s toes and Organo Kandawada gives us that space to just be in your own space and yet be together. The space is big enough for all of us to spend time doing what we love and entertain when we feel like,”

These individual experiences eventually led to a mutual understanding of the importance of community living and sustainability.Returning to India brought these principles into focus as they searched for a place to call home. When they discovered Organo Kandawada, they knew it was the perfect fit. It embodied Naveen's love for community and Prathima's passion for sustainability, symbolizing their shared vision of a harmonious and sustainable living environment.

Reflecting on this journey, one can't help but wonder about the paths that led them here. Their tale is a testament to the importance of our roots in shaping our values.
