Coming back to the life we cherished once.

Dr. Geeta & Dr. Venkat Sudigali
April 5, 2023
After living for decades in the UK, Dr. Venkat and Dr. Geeta, yearned for a home in India amidst nature, just like the ones they had lived in during their growing up years. Their search led them to Naandi, Organo’s flagship eco-habitat community, where they decided to home in. Their quest for a larger home to facilitate co-living with their parents ended with Organo Kandawada, a bespoke community ideal for their multigenerational family, with the community-centric life they missed.

Family Life and Origin

Both Dr. Venkat and Dr. Geeta have roots embedded deeply in the serene and bountiful landscapes of India. Dr. Venkat hails from Kaleshwaram, a village enriched with nature’s beauty, filled with woods and water streams. Summers spent in this little hamlet imprinted on him an eternal love for the wilderness. His wife, Dr. Geeta, shares similar fond memories of growing up in an extended family of 25 in a house surrounded by farms and fields. It was a community connected not just by blood, but by shared activities, common joys and collective responsibilities.

"It is my wish to give my kids an experience of community connected not just by blood, but by shared activities, common joys and collective responsibilities." – says Dr. Geetha

Their life took a turn when they moved to the UK. Despite enjoying the environment-conscious lifestyle there, they missed the familial bond, the shared laughter, and the closeness to nature that characterized their lives in India. When their two daughters, came into their lives, they wished for their children to experience the kind of upbringing they had. This ignited their desire to return to India and reconnect with their roots.

The Discovery of Organo Kandawada

Their quest for a perfect home that captured the essence of their childhoods led them to Naandi. It was love at first sight. Naandi gave them the peace they craved, but as their parents grew older, the need for a larger place arose. They needed a setting where the vibrancy of their extended family could thrive once again. And as fate would have it, they discovered Kandawada.

“We were looking for a home similar to Naandi, never thinking we would actually find it. But we did! Organo Kandawada offers exactly what we need and more," Dr. Venkat explains with a wide grin.

"Finding Organo Kandawada felt like divine intervention. It’s like Naandi, but more attuned to the needs of our multigenerational family," Dr. Geeta chimes in, her face glowing with anticipation.

The couple fondly describes the community in Organo Kandawada, their hopes for collective farming, pottery sessions, cooking together, and shared moments of joy that it promises.

Childhood, Personal Journey, and a Question

The memories of their childhood played a significant role in shaping Dr. Venkat and Dr. Geeta's decision to return to India. As they lived through the hustle-bustle of city life and the discipline of the UK, they held onto the echoes of laughter, the warmth of shared meals, the lessons learnt in the lap of nature.

Dr. Geeta reminisces, “In my childhood, we were always surrounded by people. Our doors were never closed. We knew our neighbours as well as we knew our family. It was a life where the line between home and community was blurred by the constant sharing and caring.”

Dr. Venkat agrees, “Our upbringing was rooted in community living, being part of a larger whole. I remember running wild with my cousins, learning about the world from the elders. It was a school of life unlike any other."

This vision of a life steeped in community and connection were fulfilled at Organo Naandi, where they first experienced their dream. Their daughters relishing the freedom, their work-life balance improving, their health getting better, reassured them. But the growing needs of their ageing parents nudged them to seek more, leading them to Organo Kandawada.

As Dr. Venkat says, “The best part is, we’re all like-minded people here. We don’t waste, we’re mindful, we’re environmentally conscious, we don’t litter. Such a community is impossible to find anywhere else.”

As they prepare to move, they carry with them the essence of Organo Naandi. They look forward to a future where their daughters grow up surrounded by the same joys they once experienced. They hope for days filled with community gatherings, shared experiences, and the laughter of their big, happy family.

In the end, one question lingers – will Organo Kandawada recreate the magic of their childhood and be the haven they have been seeking? Only time will tell.
